We have a new addition to our family. We now have four kids, a dog, and.....
a Southwestern Toad-named Hoppy! Isn't he cute?
We caught him (or rescued) him from under my Grandma and Grandpa's trampoline. We then relocated him from Santa Clara, Utah to Henderson, Nevada!
With the help of my friend, Hoppy now has a gorgeous new home! Thanks Joanna!
Anyone want to KISS that cute little face to see if he turns into a handsome Prince???
When the kids are feeling a little more brave-and Hoppy a little less, well, hoppy-I promise to post pictures of them WITH him!

I heard all about the exciting rescue. What a crack up! You're such a fun Mom. I would not be able to touch little Hoppy, but he is kind of cute. =)
The Elisaldez had a little frog.
The frog croaked every day.
And The Elisaldez always wondered
What the frog was trying to say.
To freshen up the critter’s breath,
They fed the frog some mints.
And when they gave the frog a kiss,
It turned into a prince.
The Elisaldez and the princ became friends,
And on that happy day,
The Elisaldez asked the prince just what
The frog had tried to say.
“Little Elisaldez,” said the handsome prince,
“I’m going to tell you true:
When the frog croaked it was saying,
‘I love you’.”
What a lucky day for Hoppy, to be saved and brought to live with such a nice family, I think he has a friend names Kermitt-Love Nonnie
I want to know who rescued the toad? Do any of your kids love to touch it or just look at it? All kinds of creatures are showing up at my parent's house- a toad, a large snake, and all kinds of lizards! Well if you saved the toad Katie you are very brave and a very nice mother. Enjoy your new pet!
i always wanted to write a story ABOUT FRED AND FRIEDA , A TREE TOAD FAMILY. This frog of yours has lots of personality, you could tell right away. His new home looks enchanting, muuch better than under a trampoline in a very hot desert climate, air conditioning sounds much more in keeping with such a personable friend like Hoppy....Toadally Frogsome!!
