Laker Lover

I can't believe April is over, and I am STILL trying to catch up on March.  *sigh* Oh well, here we go.

After my sisters came to visit me for St. Patrick's Day, Mark was going to surprise Ryder with a trip to watch the Laker's play.  There was no way I was going to miss out on a trip to California so we decided to all go down and spend the weekend with my family (I think that's where the last post left off).  So, FINALLY.....drum roll please......

Ryder's Laker Trip

March 18, 2011

Mark had not even told Ryder about his big surprise, and he was THRILLED when he was on the freeway and spotted the Staples Center.  He sounded something like this, "Dad!  That's where the Lakers play!!!"  Mark told him they could stop by to take some quick pictures.  After taking a bunch of fun pictures, Ryder exclaimed, "This is the BEST day of my life!"   <-----Even before finding out he was actually going to see the game.

*Mark and Ryder in front of the new Jerry West statue.*

*He even saw a "Ryder" truck passing by.* :)

*Ryder paying his respect to Chick Hearn.*

*We miss you Chicky Baby!*

"The game is in the refrigerator."

After lots of fun pictures, Mark gave Ryder the shock of a lifetime by bringing out two tickets!  He was amazed (can you see it in his smile?), shouted for joy, and gave Mark a HUGE hug.

*Watching his favorite player.....Kobe Bryant.*

Lakers Win!

Everybody's happy (don't let the "tough guy" picture fool you)!
