Jolly Good Time

Last night, we had a jolly good time with the man in red!    The kids were thrilled to see Santa, and finally tell him what they want for Christmas.

The line was pretty long, but the kids had a great time peeking in the window to help pass the time.

While we were waiting to see Santa, there was "Snow" (bubbles) in the middle of Townsquare.  It was SO beautiful.  They were playing Winter Wonderland and White Christmas over the loud speakers, and the kids had the time of their life dancing in the snow.

On a side note...

It took us FIVE tries to get a good picture of our group because SANTA would not look at the camera.  I kid you not-four little ones-and SANTA was the one we could not get to look at the camera.  "Santas' Helpers" had us take another picture.  After the final two tries, we got a good one!  It was such a sight to see.  All the helpers were clapping and waving (like they would for a toddler) and saying, "Santa!  Santa!  Look right here!" LOL

It was hilarious, but in all seriousness I felt very bad for his helpers.  They were obviously frustrated.  When I began to talk to them about it, I found out that we were not the FIRST family this had happened to.  In fact, I don't even think we were the 50th  family this had happened to!  :)  One Elf preceeded to tell me how she "just wants to slap that Santa!"  How's that for Christmas spirit?  It didn't bother Mark and I-we enjoyed a good laugh.

After pictures with the silly Santa, or maybe he was just REALLY tired, we took a few more pictures near his house.  While posing for a picture, Brooklynne backed up too far, and we got the picture above!

Don't worry.....After the shock wore off, she was just fine!

And here is the BEST shot we could get with our sleepy Santa!

How cool is that?! Is that a house that is officially for Santa? I just love that. Too bad Santa was having issues. At least he looked like a legitimate Santa, for all that he was a total ditz.

Chiemi, yeah-he had a whole house to himself. It was pretty perfect! :)

I think it time for that Santa to shave his beard and get a day job.

The kids are cute though and that is what matters!

That picture is so cute. That Santa set is the cutest one I've ever seen. That's a crack up about the Santa.

Your Christmas lights on your house look so good.

I love the picture of Brookie fallind backwards.

I thought I left you a 2nd comment. Oh well. Anyway after taking a 2nd look at the Christmas lights I realized it was Santa's house, duh.

So,
Santa has a really cute home in Vegas.
Who knew?
That house looked adorable, and Santa Claus perfect.
Where is it?
That seems so much better than lining up at the indoor mall, or
on the stage at church.
The pictures were so cute, and your kids all looked eager and not the least bit worried or frightened.
Erin Leigh was afraid of Santa Claus forever. She held on so tight to us even if we just walked by him miles away at the mall.
I really and truly think this is the first year she was ok with him from afar.
She told us this year that she knew Santa Claus was just Dad and it made Mike cry!
I told her it was nonsense and that she wouldn't get any presents with that kind of attitude.

Leslie,

LOL Oh how sad! Is that what I have to look forward to? :) How old is she? 9? When that day comes, I think I might cry too. "She who stops believing-Stops receiving."

His cute little cottage is at a huge outdoor shopping center called Townsquare of Las Vegas. It is about 15 minutes from my house. It is where the 15 (the freeway passing the Strip) and the 215 (the freeway heading to Henderson) intersect. It is literally 2 minutes from Mark's work. They have an AMAZING playground there. And, in the Summer, they have a splash pad for the kids to play in! :)

Merry Christmas!
