All Aboard The Turkey Train!

The night before Thanksgiving, we decided to pull out the movie Polar Express.  We have an annual tradition of watching this in a "train," with our special tickets, and (our favorite part) drinking hot chocolate at the appropriate time-HOT HOT...HOT CHOCOLATE anyone? :)

It was last minute,  and we had laundry and Christmas gifts out all over the couch, but that didn't stop us from celebrating.  It just did not feel right watching it without all the fun stuff.  So, Kaden drew up tickets, Ryder and Brooklynne made our train, and I whipped up some hot chocolate, while Mark helped me fold laundry.

It turned out being a really fun night, and I know we will have to do this at least two more times before Christmas is here.  The picture below is way too dark, but it's the only one I took of them aboard The Polar Express with their hot chocolate.  (For all you cousins reading this with a birthday in December, close your eyes, and don't even think about peeking at the presents on the couch.  The same goes for the four cousins whose names we drew for the cousin exchange.  Aubrey, Bradley, Kenzie, Justin, Cambel, Billy, and Amery-THAT MEANS YOU) LOL ;)

The next morning was Thanksgiving!  Mark had to go to work, and so the kids and I stayed home, made some Indian hats, and packed for our trip to Utah.

Thanks to a SUPER, kind coworker of  Marks, he was able to get home by noon, and we hit the road ASAP.  Talk about being thankful!  We got to Santa Clara JUST in time to enjoy this......

Oh boy, oh boy!  It was SO tasty!  Thank you to my Grandma and Aunts-especially you Prudy-for helping make this delicious meal.  The only other picture I took was the one of Brooklynne below.  After that, the aroma of my Thanksgiving feast got the best of me, and I sat down to enjoy.

I am SO thankful I was able to spend Thanksgiving weekend with my two Grandparents, my two Uncles and their wives, my six Aunts and their Husbands, twenty-four of my cousins, one of my sisters and her Husband, two of my nephews, and one of my nieces.  Plus, my own sweet family.

Grandma and Grandpa-Thanks again for opening your house to us.  We love you and appreciate ALL you do for us.

Happy Thanksgiving.  I hope all of the rest of my family in California had a wonderful day.  I missed you guys.

*More pictures from our trip soon to follow*

Polar Express already? I need to get my Christmas fun on. One of these days I am going to crash a Prudy Thanksgiving. I am sure 40 plus guests isn't already ovewhelming enough.
