Halloween 2010

*Michael, Kaden, Grayson, Ryder, Brooklynne, and Owen*

Oh boy!  Oh boy!  Lots of October posts to catch up on.  I would have just started fresh, but our October was filled with SO many important events! We had two birthdays, two parties, two Student of the Month awards,  an assembly performance, Halloween parties, and a trip to California!  I will try to keep November as boring as possible while I catch up on my blog! ;)

Halloween was a blast!  We hosted it at our house and appreciated everyone who came to celebrate.

Here is a picture of me in my SCARY ghost costume!

*Jesse, Ashli the dead Laker girl, and their little monkey Owen*

*Jim Popeye, Bre Olive Oil, and Michael*  We loved their couple costume.  Too cute!

Here's a shot of the ladies-note Grayson in the back patiently waiting for me to pick him up again.

I love this picture of Brooklynne, but it cracks me up, and I'll tell you why.  Halloween night was our FOURTH time dressing up in our costumes!  I love Halloween, but by the time you have done the costume thing three times before-you start to get a little burnt out (right Julie? I read your post too).  We had gotten home from California at 12:30 Halloween morning.  We had left Brooklynne's matching witch hat in California so this one was the replacement hat.  I didn't bother curling her hair. We put on very minimal "witch make-up," and after eatting our delicious dinner, she could not find her adorable, black sparkly ballet flats (she had them on about 15 mins. previous).  I was busy hosting the party, and so I just sent her quickly upstairs to find another pair of shoes.  She picked out those lovely Minnie Mouse ones you see in the picture above. LOL

Despite the lack of structure in the costumes, everything turned out great!  My kids collected a TON of candy, and Kaden, Ryder, and their friend Michael even counted it all.  Kaden then went on to graph ALL his Halloween candy!

Another funny story-After about the third house, Grayson walked up to house #4 where he refused to take a piece of candy.  When we walked down to the sidewalk, I kept reminding him that it was okay to take the candy.  He looked in his bag, at his meager three pieces of candy, and told me, "No.  I already have some." Gotta' love that he's not greedy!  It's okay though.  Daddy talked him into collecting more.

Here's a group shot of my kids at the pumpkin patch.  We were a little behind schedule because of our last minute suprise trip to California (totally worth it) so we did not stay too long.

Just long enough to snap some silly pictures.

Ryder and Brooklynne chose this crazy swing.

Brooklynne loved this $50 pumpkin!  Pumpkin patches are insane!  We didn't even buy any there.

Kaden and Grayson chose this bounce house......And I am SO glad they did because I was able to snap this funny picture below.  I won't go into detail of why this looks so funny.  I will just let you guys form your own opinions!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!  AGAIN!

I totally know what you mean about being burnt out for halloween. We have worn ours so many times. Though, the kids don't seem very burnt out as they have been wearing their costumes in the days after.
