Thanksgiving Weekend

While in Utah, we were able to do so many fun things, and as if it wasn't already going to be fun enough, we were able to do it with LOTS of family.  That always makes it much more fun. :)  I am so thankful to have been born into such a wonderful family.  I love my family..  In this sometimes crazy world, I am constantly reminded of how great it is to be around such positive, loving people.  Thanks for being so awesome.

Anyway, my FAVORITE thing we did this past weekend was go see Tangled...twice (Friday and Saturday)!   I LOVE most movies, but this movie was really amazing.   It was so funny.  Definitly on my top favorite list.

Seeing my kids in their 3D glasses is another one of "my favorites." LOL

Here is a blurry picture of two of my beautiful Aunts and adorable cousins.

On Friday night, we went to the St. George Temple where they were lighting the Christmas lights on the temple grounds. There was a brief program, and the lights and music were beautiful.  It was a little cold, but I am so glad we went.  It was a great way to focus on the true meaning of Christmas as we were winding down November and heading into December.

I only had my phone so the picture below is kinda' crummy, but it is the only family picture we have from that night (try to ignore the extra little person to our right-not part of my family).

And my last FAVORITE (I know I had a lot) part.....

Just being at home hanging around family.  We did crafts, played games, watched movies, cuddled on the couch, ate delicious food, and played in the backyard.  We even shot fake turkeys with marshmellow guns-Thanks Uncle Paul!

Grandma and Grandpa-I appreciate everything you have ever done for me.  I love you guys, and I am so thankful we were able to come visit for Thanksgiving. :)

Your family really does sound so great! Can I join? I'm sure I would blend right in!
You're the second person to say that movie is great. I'm gonna have to go see it!

I love your Tangled pics. I need to remember to take pics in 3D glasses because they look so fun. I second the motion about Tangled. I could see that movie two days in a row, and that's saying a lot for a kid's movie! We have to go back with Shane since he missed it that day. Anyway, it really was a fun weekend. We were only two houses away, but I didn't get to see you much. It's always like that in a big crowd. I hope you'll come at another quieter time so I can spend more time with you and your kids. They are getting so big. You are doing such a good job with them. I am always impressed!

What can I say except her her to all you said Katie. I feel very blessed to have such a wonderful family. Grandma and Grandpa do such an awesome job making everyone feel so loved an welcome. I want to be just like them and share that great love of family, Heavenly Father and have a home where everyone can gather and feel love and the spirit of Heavenly Fathers love. I am also grateful for such wonderful sisters, brothers and thier spouses who make life so much better...whether taking care of their older sis with a falling off ear or making a delicious meal or planning awesome crafts. What a WOW Family.

Katie,
You said everything all of us feel. We love our big, kind family and feel so blessed to be little part of it.
It really was a great weekend. I had so much fun and loved seeing your family. They are so cute, and I loved that Brooklynne kept coming over to talk to us and show us her tricks. You have such nice boys, and little Grayson is adorable. Mallory loved seeing you and talking with you. We all had such a good time.
I wish your mother could have been there too, and I love what she wrote above. Tell her we will always take care of her, laugh with her, and even help her with a falling off ear for ever and ever.
Thanks for sharing your pictures and thoughts.
It's nice to know we all feel the same way.

I better go see Tangled since I keep hearing how good it is. My mom took my kids, but now I think maybe I should have gone along for the ride.

It was weird to hear you call Mary Kate and Erin your aunts? I think that since they are my cousins, they are your cousins. I guess because you girls were closer to our ages, I always thought of you as first cousins. It's awesome that you are close enough in age to hang out and be friends with your aunts. So fun!

Did Courtney tell you that my mom saw her at Disneyland? We were walking ahead of her and never saw her stop to talk to Courntey and her kids. How silly that we were all there together and somehow walked right past each other.

Julie, you should totally see Tangled! I know you're not a huge movie fan so I'd be interested to see if could managa to win your heart as well.

That's funny you say that about my Aunts. :) We we talking a little about that this past weekend because most of my cousins call me "Aunt Katie" because of the age difference. I don't care either way, but it is pretty funny to be so close in age to my Aunts. Plus, my kids are all the same ages as most of my cousins so we just call them their cousins.

My sister forgot to tell me that about D-land! I'll have to ask her. It is crazy to have missed each other, but then again-there are a TON of people there.

Katie-love the music on your blog, I'm happy to have your blog to add to my list. Good luck on getting your laptop fixed, that sound like a project I'd procrastinate on for sure. I love the pictures, and now I really can't wait to go see Tangled!
